A lovely piece of writing. Timeless really, and wise.

Thanks, Terrance. You're a wonderful writer yourself, so those words mean a lot.

Ah... the joys of mixed marriages. I've had two and a half of them. These affairs take the simple math of marriage, 1 + 1 = 2, and up it into Number Theory.

Write that article, Paul. I'd like to read it.

Thanks for the encouragement, John. I do write articles, but I'm mostly a fictionist. My take on these marriages is simmered into the soup of my short stories and novels. Watch for Seeing Sunny Again, in June/July of this year. And then, The Mostly True Story of Our Failed Love Affair, then, if I live long enough, Worlds in Collision. Best in love and life!

A remarkable story. "I chose well to keep Ali and Nino. It helps me assimilate the mosaic of my life. It’s fuel for the low flame on which the jamboree sits, still simmering."

I'm also sorting old files, as we prepare to move into a much smaller house. A bittersweet exercise: what to keep, what to toss.

It is bittersweet, Peter. Looking back, I kept and tossed things I shouldn't have. But I made the right decision with Ali and Nino. Good luck on the move.

Thanks! We'll need it. Plus (most likely) a storage unit....
