I love the gratitude for each wave, that's appropriate - as for each tree, and even each blade of grass! The science-y-ness, the Brown this and the Smith that, and even the Greek letter naming (much as I love them in their proper habitat) - the idea that the phenomena are 'really' just something measurable (and that it's the measurability which lends them significance) - not so much, but that's personal taste.
